Bekasi (11/11). Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Kota Bekasi- Islamic bank for rural area in Bekasi is set target to distribute financing of a thousand motorcycles for teachers and nurses in the area of the city of Bekasi, as explained recently by the Director of BPRS Bekasi, Nur S. Buchori to pkesinteraktif.
Moreover Nur S Buchori said that the program is to be carrying out for year 2009. "Teachers and nurses are both to be considering as a noble profession, therefore we are intent to assist them to have their own motorcycles." The contract or aqad is based on Ijarah Mutanhiya Bitamlik (IMBT) – leasing with  ownership at the end of lease period, which is specifically designed for the motorcycles from Suzuki as the BPRS has already signed an agreement with the Suzuki dealer.

"the reason to use the IMBT aqad is because the nature of the contract is leasing, with lower risk, but if using the murabahah or sale with profit mark-up, it falls under a debt transactions", apart from that is a social factor that will be the main issue why BPRS Bekasi is using the IMBT contract with competitive pricing for this program.

In addition,BPRS Bekasi focuses on micro financing using the mudharabah muqayadah aqad (restricted profit sharing contract). Up until now the micro financing from BPRS is IDR 1.5 Billions with 4 years of financing tenor.

As of third semester of 2008, BPRS Bekasi has channeled their financing for IDR 14 billions with the largest composition is using the mudharabah aqad (profit –sharing contract).  With third party funds of IDR 14 billions and dominated by 70% of time deposit products, the profit is IDR 780 millions.  (Maria/Nibra.www.pkesinteraktif.com)
