Jakarta, (11/03). As the product of bancassurance is now considered to be the best interest of Indonesian people, especially bancassurance which is shariah based product, it has motivated Bank Syariah Mandiri to offer such products by collaborating with PT AXA Mandiri to sell Mandiri Rencana Sejahtera Syariah (MRSS). BSM and PT AXA Mandiri have signed the collaborative agreement to sell the Bancassurance on 10/03/2010.
The product, Mandiri Rencana Sejahtera Syariah (MRSS) has received a license from Bapepam LK in April 2009, and BSM has received a license from Bank Indonesia on October 09, 2009. MRSS is a unit link product bundling with life insurance with 100% coverage for the beneficiaries in case of death from sickness or other mishap of the insurers in addition there will be investment funds + profit if any. Investment funds will be return in case of the insurer withdrawal from the program.
It is expected that from this collaboration all parties will fulfilled its rights and obligations as stipulated in the agreement, and this will be a value added of business for BSM as well as for AXA Mandiri.
Previously, BSM has signed agreement with Takaful for its saving account investa cendekia and investa link which has a portfolio of IDR 128,384 billion, in the meantime BSM already join force with Panin Life, for saving plan and health plan insurance –saving products.
